The Top Special Liveries of 2015

ANA Star Wars Livery
As Star Wars mania swept over the world in anticipation of The Force Awakens, the seventh installment in the series, Japanese carrier ANA unveiled three Star Wars themed liveries. The first livery features the beloved R2-D2 droid on a 787-9.

The second Star Wars themed livery features the new BB-8 droid on a 777-300ER while the third livery features both the BB-8 and R2-D2 droids, with each taking up a side on the fuselage of  the 767-300.
Giant model aircraft with the special Star Wars liveries made an appearance at the red carpet where they were signed by the stars of the movie including Harrison Ford and John Boyega.

Icelandair Hekla Aurora
Icelandair's Hekla Aurora special livery is one of the most gorgeous in the world. The Aurora Borealis are splayed brilliantly across the fuselage of the 757-200 aircraft with snow capped mountains in the background.

The special livery is part of Icelandair's my stopover campaign which allows transit passengers to spend up to 7 nights in Iceland before continuing on with their journeys.

Southwest Airlines Missouri One
To commemorate 30 years  of service in Missouri, Southwest unveiled Missouri One, a 737-700 with an enhanced version of the Missouri state flag on the fuselage

Brussels Airlines Red Rackham's Treasure Livery
To promote Belgian culture, Brussels Airlines unveiled its newest special livery: Red Rackham's Treasure, which is inspired by the popular comic book Tintin.

WestJet Frozen Livery
WestJet's latest special livery is a creative take on the movie Frozen. The livery features Olaf the snowman lounging on a sunny beach while Elsa and Anna are on the tail of the 737-800 aircraft with Elsa sending snow toward Olaf.

The aircraft is also outfitted with a special interior where as you move from the front of the aircraft to the back, the seasons change from summer to winter, which mimics the exterior of the aircraft.
